Thoughtful feedback from families I’ve had the privilege of supporting through funerals and memorial ceremonies.
As a funeral celebrant, it is a privilege to support families through one of the most difficult times in their lives. Every funeral and memorial ceremony is personal, and I approach each one with warmth, care, compassion and a genuine desire to honour the person being remembered.
The kind words sent to me by so many people mean so much to me. I am incredibly grateful to the families who have taken the time to share their experiences, and it is an honour to have been trusted to help them say goodbye to someone they love.
Thank you.

Hi Christine
I just wanted to say on behalf of myself and my family a huge thank you for the fantastic job you did on Thursday for my Mum.
From the moment we met you, I felt like Mum was in safe hands.
You guided us through what was required and seemed to quickly grasp who she was and made some really perfect suggestions for poems etc. The whole service felt right, it felt like Mum, which was massively important to me.
In particular, thank you for your own words about Mum at the end. I could tell that you had listened as we chatted and laughed about who she was and summed her up beautifully.
Everyone who was at the funeral, or watched it online has remarked on how lovely you were and how perfect the funeral was.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. You have certainly found your calling in life!Tarn
Christine is an incredible funeral celebrant and a truly beautiful soul.
She is incredibly professional, kind, empathetic, and supportive. From the very beginning, she guided us through the funeral planning process with care and understanding, making everything feel that little bit easier during such a hard time.
Christine conducted the service beautifully — with grace, compassion, and a deep sense of respect. Her words were thoughtful and moving, and the poems, some of which she has written herself, were truly beautiful and touching. She has a remarkable gift for capturing the essence of a person and creating a service that feels personal and heartfelt.
Christine has officiated several funerals in our family, and we wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to turn to her again in the future. We are so grateful for her support.Tia H
Dear Christine
Following the service for Richard yesterday, I just wanted to thank you for .... well, everything really.
Thank you for your help in putting together, and presenting, a service that truly was for, and about, Richard. Everyone has been so complimentary about the service, including the family in Canada who were able to watch.
Thank you for your patience while we dithered over the choice of music and poems, and the late changes to the music which meant changes in the order of service. Not your usual funeral music, but so many people said how much they enjoyed it and that Richard would have loved it!
Thank you for your calm acceptance of the last-minute delivery of our family tribute and for reading it so beautifully.
Thank you for making what could have been very traumatic much easier to bear due to your care, kindness, understanding and love.
I can only apologise for not talking with you properly after the service and inviting you to join us at Boxgrove Hall.
Kind regardsAnn
It is so difficult to know how we would respond to the weighty emotions of yesterday's funeral for Robina and we necessarily relied on the structure of your ceremony and your very personal role in conducting it.
It was a difficult moment for us and, though we know you must have done many such ceremonies, we wanted to thank you for the very particular attention we feel you brought to ours.
You set just the right tone with just the right words and your manner balanced the necessary authority with a personal warmth and sympathy that allowed us to focus our emotions on Robina.
We were fortunate that David should have recommended you to us and, looking back, apart from a few fluffed words on my part, we don't feel we could have wished for more. Those thoughts were echoed from Seattle, New York and Stockholm. We feel Robina would have been pleased and that is all we could have asked for.
Thank you.Graham & Fiona
Thank you so very, very, much for being so wonderful yesterday. You held the space for the celebration for Sandy so beautifully and it was a lovely, lovely, send off for her. You got the tone so right to reflect her perfectly.
I have been receiving messages and emails from friends and family saying they’d like a send-off like that and how beautiful it was and how it spoke of Sandy.
I am so grateful to you; you were perfect in every way. So reassuring a presence. So professional and wonderful in reading and holding it all.
Not only that, I am so grateful for the way you helped me in creating it and helping me in choosing things. Your ability to listen and understand and hear who my Mum was in the midst of grief was wonderful and your help in guiding everything for her service was lovely.
I felt you were so easy to talk to and I could cry in front of you and if I did it didn’t matter. Your energy is one of healing and kindness and understanding and I really appreciate you. You shared of yourself very generously in our conversations which were so helpful in a very emotional time.
Thank you also for the lovely healing rose quartz heart gift. I shall treasure it.
And the lovely touch that you were wearing a butterfly brooch was amazing! My friend said do you see she was wearing a butterfly brooch!! And I said yes, I know! And she didn’t even see the eulogy beforehand!!
A heartfelt thank you Christine for your kindness and help and for all you did to help give my Mum the gentle sparkling colourful hopeful deep beautiful send-off that she deserved. I’m so grateful to you xxxJane
I first contacted Christine in September 2019 following the death of my Mother-in-Law and having received a recommendation from another family member.
We found Christine to be a lovely lady, kind and sympathetic, as well as being totally professional.
From initially being in a situation where we did not have a clue what to do, she effectively “held our hands” and guided us through the whole event with many suggestions and alternatives for the service.
Sadly, the death of my Father-in-Law followed a few months later, so we asked Christine to officiate again in January this year and once again, she proved to be “a star”! Thanks to Christine, both services were just lovely and many of those attending have asked us to let them have her contact details for when they might need her in the future.
Good Morning Christine,
A belated but nevertheless sincere 'thank you' for all you did for us to make Terry's service such a beautiful goodbye.
From the minute you came to our home (early!) right through to the service, we were treated with nothing but respect, care and compassion, your empathy for our situation was humbling.
So many people have said to me what a lovely and fitting service it was, our children bearing Terry's coffin, his music being played and the wonderful choice of poems all made for a very poignant farewell.
Thank you from me and our family for everything you did to make it run so smoothly, we will be forever grateful.Thelda and Family
I am so pleased that we chose Moments & Memories to say goodbye to our mother. Chris provided us with exactly what we needed to prepare for her funeral.
In fact, when our Aunt passed away a couple of years later there was no question of who to go to. Chris is welcoming, respectful and has an extraordinary human touch.
She recently handled my husband's funeral and later the burying of his ashes with her usual aplomb.Lesley
Dear Chris,
A belated note to thank you so much for officiating at Mum’s funeral last month.
Apologies for the delay, but, as you were aware, we were about to move home and only now have I had the chance to catch up on things.
We all felt the service for Mum was as she would have wanted and very grateful for your guidance and contribution. It struck just the right note in saying farewell, but celebrating her long and full life. We all miss her, but so many happy memories.
We really were delighted that you were the celebrant and appreciate your style and kindness.
Thank you again for your involvement in such a major moment in our lives.
Warmest regardsD

If I’ve had the honour of supporting you and your family and you would like to leave a few words, I’d be truly grateful. Your feedback means a great deal to me personally and can also help other families feel confident when choosing a celebrant to support them at such an important time.
Thank you so much for your kind support.
