Moments & Memories Professional Celebrant based in West Sussex

Hello, my name is Sandra and I have been a funeral consultant with Southern Co-op with Caring Lady for nearly 10 years. I feel very privileged to have this role and for families to entrust me to care for their loved ones on their final  journey. I know when I lost my dad, as a family we had never had to arrange a funeral and had no idea where to start with organising one. Luckily we chose a funeral director that helped us navigate through one of the most difficult times in our lives. So for me to feel that I am hopefully doing that for the families that come to me, there is nothing more rewarding.

Hello, my name is Kirsty, and I have been a Funeral Arranger for over eight years. Working within the funeral profession has been my ambition since I was seven years old, and I feel truly honoured to be able to support families during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Losing a loved one and arranging a funeral can feel overwhelming, often leaving people unsure of where to turn. My role is to guide and support families every step of the way, taking the time to listen to their wishes, understand their concerns, and ease as much of the stress as possible throughout the funeral arrangements.

What I love most about my role is meeting so many different people and hearing the unique stories that make every life special. Being able to learn about your loved one through those memories is a privilege, and it helps me to ensure that every funeral reflects the person they were and the life they lived.

I am passionate about providing compassionate, personalised support and helping families create a meaningful farewell for someone they love.

For me, becoming a funeral director was a deeply personal decision, shaped by my own experience of bereavement.

Having seen first-hand the difference that compassionate care and guidance can make during such a difficult time, I knew I wanted to be there for others when they needed it most.

I feel privileged to serve such a historic village and its wonderful families, and I truly believe it when a family entrusts me with their loved one.

My role is about so much more than arranging a funeral; it is about listening, understanding and creating a personal and meaningful service that reflects the life and memories of someone truly special, while supporting you every step of the way.

My name is David Overton, and I am a Funeral Director with Rosewood Funeral Service Ltd and Staunton Funeral Services Ltd. For me, being a funeral director is about much more than arranging a funeral. It is about being there for families at one of the most difficult times in their lives, listening to what matters to them and helping them create a funeral that truly reflects the person they have lost.
I take great pride in providing a personal, compassionate and professional service, while making sure every family feels supported and cared for throughout the whole process. I believe that every person is unique, and their funeral should be too. Whether a family chooses a traditional service or something more personal, my aim is always to help make the arrangements as meaningful and as comforting as possible.

Greenacres: Heatherley Park

Grayshott Road

My name is Ness Burton and I am the Park Manager for Heatherley Park.

At GreenAcres Heatherley Park, we understand that saying goodbye is about so much more than the funeral itself. It is about creating a moment in time where family and friends can come together, share memories, reflect and honour the life of someone they love.

Set within 12 acres of beautiful lawn, meadow and woodland, Heatherley Park offers families the freedom to create a farewell that feels personal and meaningful. We offer burial, cremation services and dedicated ash graves, with our team gently guiding families through the choices available to them.

Ritual can be an incredibly important part of grief. Whether it is choosing a special piece of music, lighting a candle, sharing stories, placing flowers, walking together through the park or simply taking a quiet moment to reflect, these small acts can bring meaning and comfort at a time when words can sometimes be difficult to find.

We also believe in the importance of pilgrimage—the opportunity to return to a special place and continue that connection long after the funeral has taken place. Heatherley Park is somewhere families can come back to, walk through the woodland and meadow, visit their loved one, mark anniversaries and significant dates, or simply spend some quiet time remembering.

Working alongside celebrants, we want families to feel that they have the freedom and support to create a funeral that truly reflects the person who has died. There is no single way to say goodbye. What matters is creating something that feels right for you, your family and the person you are remembering.

Dove Release

“Dave the Dove”

Our dove release offers families a beautiful and symbolic way to say a final farewell to someone they love. At the end of the funeral service, a white dove can be released as a symbol of peace, love and the journey onwards. Families may choose to release a single dove, or a number of doves, creating a particularly poignant and memorable moment.
For many families, watching the doves take flight provides a sense of comfort and a peaceful way to say goodbye — a lasting image that can remain with them long after the funeral has ended.
We are proud to offer this special service with care, dignity and sensitivity, helping families create a farewell that is truly personal and meaningful.
